Responsibilities
The Engineering staff is responsible for management of the Public Works Department and the following:
- Inspection of construction projects to assure compliance with approved plans and town standards
- Engineering design of town projects
- Project management of all construction contracted or performed by the town
- Responding to and assuring compliance with all state requirements for street maintenance and environmental issues
- Response to other citizen requests related to public works
- Review and approval of construction drawings submitted by developers
