Virginia Clean Cities will be recognizing Mac's Service Center with a ribbon cutting for their new DC Fast Charging Station, the first in the Richmond Region, at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4. A DC Fast Charging Station can charge an electric or plug-in electric vehicle, normally an 8-hour endeavor, in about 30 minutes.
Mac's Service Center is an independently owned repair facility dedicated to the most advanced diagnostic and repair strategies. Well known for their brightly-colored, plug-in hybrid shuttle and hybrid loaner cars, Mac's has extended their commitment to the best business practices and community citizenship with their newly-installed DC Fast Charging Station. The new charging station will be free for electric and plug-in electric vehicles. The Mac for whom the service center is named explains, "We are inviting electric vehicle owners to experience the Town of Ashland, as well as recognize Mac's Service Center's achievements in the ever-evolving, high-tech world of automobile repair."
The Town of Ashland is a regional leader in innovative business practices and sustainability efforts thanks to strong community leadership and local business owners like Mac.
