The Ashland Town Council will be holding several meetings this month to determine the future of the Ashland Theater. After meeting in a joint session with the Ashland Main Street Association Theater Committee on August 25, the Council has scheduled work sessions for September 2, 16 and 22 to discuss the theater feasibility study, options for moving forward, and receive public input.
The September 2 session will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers of town hall. A prospective developer for the theater space will join the council for this meeting to discuss a recently completed feasibility study. Though no public input will be solicited at this meeting, all are welcome to attend. Archived videos of this and all meetings can be found on the "Town Meetings" portion of the town website: http://www.town.ashland.va.us/Index.aspx?NID=89.
The September 16 and September 22 sessions are intended for the council to receive input from the public. Both of these sessions will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers.
