Woodland Cemetery Guided Walking Tour
Friday, October 19, 2018, 6pm
This tour will include an expanded history about the Randolph-Macon College faculty and staff buried at Woodland. Ginger Young, Ph.D., retired McGraw-Page Library director, and Susan Tucker, cemetery administrator, will be the guides for the evening.
It will be dark before the group finishes the tour, so you will see Woodland from a different light. Flashlights will be necessary to complete the tour. The museum will provide flashlights, or you may bring your own.
Woodland Cemetery is at 11310 Hanover Ave., Ashland, VA 23005. Park along the side roads inside the cemetery. The group will meet by the flag poles that are midway on the main cemetery road. Tour should last about 90 minutes.
Tour will be held rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable. Dress for the weather and wear walking shoes since the group will be walking on uneven ground and paths.
Cost: $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Registration and payment in advance is required. For more information or to register, visit our website at https://ashlandmuseum.org, email the Ashland Museum at firstname.lastname@example.org, or leave a voice message at 804-368-7314.
