Following up on community requests for improved sidewalk connectivity, Town Council approved an initial list of three priority sidewalk projects in August 2022 as recommended by the Parks & Recreation Committee. That original list came from resident recommendations at community meetings and other Town meetings, old priority lists, and the 2040 Transportation Plan.
At the request of Town Council, Town staff brought the remaining projects on the list to Council's meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 4th, along with a list of sidewalks that have been requested by
residents but were not included in the Parks & Recreation Committee’s original list. The overall goal is to
compile a list of sidewalk projects that Town staff foresee being able to complete within the next five to seven years.
After vetting what was remaining on the sidewalk priority lists
and the additional sidewalk requests, Town Council moved to adopt the list of additional sidewalk projects. Below is a list of projects currently underway and/or to be started soon.
